Glasgow Coffee Festival

Glasgow Coffee Festival is an annual specialty coffee festival held each spring at The Briggait in Glasgow, Scotland. The festival brings together roasters, baristas, and coffee enthusiasts from across the UK and beyond for two days of tastings, competitions, and industry events.

The festival’s Best Roaster UK competition launched in 2026 as one of the country’s most visible roasting showcases. Open to roasters from across the United Kingdom, it follows a format similar to the Nordic Coffee Fest’s Nordics Best Roaster: finalists roast a standardized lot to their own specification and also submit a sourced coffee representing their brand’s style, judged through a blind, peer-assessed cupping.

How the Competition Works

Finalists in Best Roaster UK are each required to roast an identical coffee to their own specification, and also submit a sourced coffee of their choosing that represents their brand’s style. Both entries are available for festival-goers to taste. A blind, peer-assessed cupping panel determines the winner, announced on the festival’s final day.
