World Coffee Championships

The World Coffee Championships are the premier stage for competitive coffee. The annual series draws national champions from dozens of countries to compete in a single host city.

The championships are organized by the World Coffee Championships (WCC), which operates under the umbrella of the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA). Events are typically held alongside the World of Coffee trade show each June.

Note: The WCRC is the SCA’s official world roasting championship and is separate from the Global Coffee Awards, an independent competition also crowning a world’s best roaster each year. EspressoDrop covers both.

  • World Latte Art Championship (WLAC)
