China’s Gems of Yunnan competition named three Presidential Award winners after its judging concluded June 25, 2026, all Washed Geisha lots scoring above 90 points. Lincang Gengxia Manor led the field at 91.78 points, the highest score recorded in a Yunnan coffee competition to date, followed by Menghai Yunle Coffee at 90.53 and Lincang Linxiang Songfeng Coffee Cooperative at 90.28. None of the three lots has a publicly confirmed shop as of this writing.
Lincang Gengxia Manor — 91.78 Points
Gengxia Manor’s winning lot is a Washed Geisha grown by producer Yan Li in Lincang City. Washed processing removes the fruit from the bean before drying, producing the clean, bright cup the method is known for. Geisha is a variety originally from Ethiopia, prized in specialty coffee for its floral, jasmine like aroma and delicate body. The lot sold at auction for $949 per pound to Luckin Coffee, which is listed as a strategic partner of the Gems of Yunnan competition itself, not an independent auction buyer.
Menghai Yunle Coffee — 90.53 Points
Menghai Yunle Coffee’s entry is also a Washed Geisha, grown in Xishuangbanna, a different growing region from the other two winners. The lot sold for $237 per pound to Tianxia Manor.
Lincang Linxiang Songfeng Coffee Cooperative — 90.28 Points
Songfeng’s lot is a Washed Geisha grown collectively by member farmers of the cooperative in Lincang City, the same district as the top winner. The lot sold for $203 per pound to Sinloy Coffee.

The Win
Gems of Yunnan is the Alliance for Coffee Excellence’s newest regional program, organized with the Specialty Coffee Society of Yunnan as its in country partner and Luckin Coffee as a strategic partner, bringing ACE’s jury cupping and auction process to China’s own coffee growing region for the first time. The 2026 edition was the program’s second: judging concluded June 25 with 169 entries, and 20 lots won awards, three of them earning the Presidential Award.
