Galani Coffee, a specialty roastery in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, won the 2026 Global Coffee Awards Africa Edition on June 16, taking the overall title with the highest-scoring coffee in the competition, a washed Limu heirloom entered in the Espresso Single Origin category.

At the Global Coffee Awards World Championship in San Salvador, El Salvador this past March, Lithuania’s Huracán Coffee was named the world’s best roaster — besting 30 finalists from 16 countries who advanced from more than 2,000 sample entries worldwide.
